- There are 4000 mature trees throughout the 30 hectares at Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
- Queensland Bottle tree are native to South East Queensland and are an important part of Indigenous culture.
- The Starchy roots and seeds of the Queensland Bottle Tree are edible.
- Cycads are some of the oldest plants with the Encephalartos which are native to Swaziland and Mozabique.
