Nothing beats the taste of homegrown veggies. Sue shows us a simple way to create an amazing edible garden, that even beginner-gardeners can achieve.

  • Use a bag of premium potting mix, lay it flat, and cut 6 holes into the top and bottom of the bag.
  • Autumn is the perfect time to plant Broccoli Baby Bunching because there are no Cabbage White Butterflies around to destroy the crops.
  • Once harvested, Broccoli Baby Bunching, keeps producing side shoots allowing for repeat harvest.
  • Dwarf Beans thrive in warmer environments. They grow up to approximately 30cm in height and will rapidly fill the area producing mass beans for harvest.
  • Peas are a great winter crop, and the Novella Pea is a dwarf variety, which stays short and compact, perfect for growing in a potting mix bag.
  • For one bag, having 3 varieties to grow is ideal but if you want to achieve a bigger harvest, repeat this method in a larger number of potting mix bags.
  • All these vegetable varieties can grow together successfully, or you can separate each variety in a bag by themselves.
