- Being a legume, they work double hard in fixing the nitrogen from the atmosphere to the roots.
- This nitrogen will benefit the next crop that’s planted in this area.
- Using a sturdy frame allows plants once they mature to have something to twine around - great for peas, beans, cucumbers & other climbers
- Getting vegies off the ground is one of the secrets to producing large crops. When they are left to trail across the ground, not only does it take up space the slaters, slugs and snails have a field day.
- It also reduces pests and diseases, allowing more air flow around the foliage.
- Whites have designed a grip and grow with a ribbed and modular bar – provides additional grip for vines as they grow.
- Pests, birds and rodents can cause you a fair bit of grief in the garden, even chooks. Using a crop cage will allow any edible plants protection from external problems.
