Gardens that rock!
Story: Landscape - GARDENS THAT ROCK!
Episode: 1
Presenter: Neville Passmore
Air Date: 5th August
Neville shows us how to use rocks and pebbles to create landscaping and terraforming solutions to make a boring garden look spectacular.
- Jack’s Bight Whites and Black landscaping chips are an easy and low-maintenance solution to creating pathways within the garden in a non-harmful and non-obtrusive way.
- They are made from natural materials that are durable and long-lasting, making them a practical choice for your garden for years to come.
- By utilising the contrasting colours and shades, making a stable path should be an easy and relatively-longterm solution. Do not neglect using protective footwear and gloves when handling rocks and stone chips.
- A weed mat under the path is a foolproof way to prevent weeds from getting under the path, and doubles as a way to stop pebbles digging their way into the soil. Weedmat pegs make it easy to position the mat and keep it in place.
- At 15 kilograms per bag of white rocks, it’s important to lift rock bags carefully using the knees and not your back, or else get someone else to help. Even the pebble mixes can be quite heavy, so do not underestimate weight.
