The Walls are alive!

  • The wall garden concept is simple. A specially designed container that holds the right amount of soil and allow good flow of moisture between containers as it sits fixed to a wall or stand
  • One planter tray sits above the other and you can really go as high as you like. You water at the top and the water flows through each tray and enters a water holding tank at the base with a cover over it to reduce evaporation
  • The water is recycled and therefore despite having a lot of plants requiring watering there is almost no waste at all
  • If there is one challenge with herbs its growing them in shade, there are few happy with that environment so in locations that get less than 8 hours of direct sunlight a day you may need to consider adding grow lights to the system
  • These systems work really well with soil but also can be set up hydroponically as well, and this is particularly good for indoor installations. The biggest thing to remember is the cost effectiveness of the garden wall system compared to other living wall concepts. This is going to cost you less than $100.00 per square metre compared to some systems which are as much as $2400 per square metre
