• It doesn't take long for a spade to rust or a pair of snipers to seize up if they are left outside for any length of time. Store your garden tools to keep them longer.
• Just like a car, your tool can do with some regular maintenance. Cutting tools like snips and loppers love a little oil to keep their joints free, along with nice sharp blades.
• Spades and shovels also work better when they're sharp too. Run a file along the bottom a couple of times to add a nice edge.
