Trevor takes the Garnish Island Ferry to visit one of Ireland’s greatest gardens, Garnish Island.
- Garnish Island, also known as; Inacullin Garinish or Garnish, is located in a sheltered harbour of Glangariff in Bantry Bay.
- The Garden can be accessed by one of the ferry services to the island; the ferries also include a tour of the nearby seal colony.
- Harold Peto designed the garden for its owner Annan Bryce, who, with his wife Violet, purchased the island from the War Office in 1910.
- The island is renowned for its architecture and gardens, also playing host to writers including George Bernard Shaw and George William Russel.
