Sustainable Classroom Tips

  • The school is working towards a sustainable cycle starting from the plant produce all the way to worm farms
  • The produce from the edible plants goes into the kitchen, the scraps are composted / fed to the chickens and the worms break down the compost
  • Hands on work in the garden can have a very positive effect on children
  • In parts of the school's garden, the plants have QR codes which can be scanned with a smart phone and provide further information like recipes and other uses
  • The school also has aquaponics and chicken coops
  • The gardens are managed by the student ‘Garden Ambassadors'
