There is considerable research that supports the realization that gardens are a great form of therapy for people recovering from illness. The design and materials are vitally important and we were fascinated as to how this knowledge would be applied to Australia’s newest hospital, the 2 billion dollars Fiona Stanley Hospital which opened in October 2014.

Deep Green Landscapes had the role of installing the gardens so Trevor caught up with Julien Rose, the managing director to find out what went into the design and how they have managed to get such a great success rate with the plantings.
