Today 17 aquatic centres across the state are part of the Waterwise Aquatic Centre Program which helps reduce water waste and the centers have all been endorsed as waterwise.

• Aquatic centres such as Riverton Leisureplex have implemented effective water saving protocols and systems to ensure a large percentage of our water is being saved, what used to be 12 litres per minute being used at the leisureplex has been reduced to 7 litres per minute.
• The Waterwise Councils Program helps local councils all across the state to make ‘fresh water thinking’ part of their mantra, with 29 local governments endorsed as waterwise.
• The Joondalup Council takes being waterwise very seriously, giving the local community the tools and education to reduce fresh water consumption.
