Title: Cultivating Soils – Using STIHL products

When growing any garden, it is important to make sure you get the soil right.

• Soil is alive and full of microscopic bacteria and fungi – some good, some bad.
• There are two essential ingredients to maintaining a healthy garden: water and air. While you can add water easily enough, it is important to cultivate your soil to stop it becoming too hard and compacted.
• If you’re not up to the amount of digging yourself, the Stihl MM55 is an excellent tool for cultivating your soil. It’s simple to use, and the quality German engineering will make it last a lifetime.
• Make sure to run up and down the lines a few times, turning the soil until it is soft and fluffy. Once you’ve done this, sow your soil by using the handle of your rake to draw lines in the surface, and then gently scattering the seedlings in the lines. Remember to water it!
