  • Dog urine burning the lawns is a common problem, but it’s first important to ensure that the pale or discoloured patches on your lawn are actually caused by dog urine. If it is, one answer is to dilute the uring - watering the grass with water after the dog urinates can help.
  • Training the dog to pee elsewhere in a less visible location is also a viable method that requires a little time and patience.
  • Alternatively, changing the lawn to a tougher, more resilient variety could also help.
  • Some people recommend dog rocks, but these have mixed results, do some of your own research to figure out if this method works for you.
  • One other method is to change the dog’s diet to dilute the urine. Less biscuits and more milk/water often helps to alter the concentration of the urine. Providing wet food and/or adding liquid to the dry biscuits is also a subtle help.
