- Sustainably Yours - PARKROYAL COLLECTION brand was created to champion sustainability and living responsibly.
- PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, owned by Pan Pacific Hotels Group, has established its position as Singapore’s first ‘Garden-in-a-Hotel’.
- Home to over 2,400 plants, trees, shrubs and ground covers from more than 60 varieties of flora, handpicked for their resilience and suitability to indoor conditions, where minimal care is required, the hotel evokes the impression of a daytime forest, both attractive and beneficial, acting as natural purifiers to improve the air quality.
- Their hotel took on a ‘rejuvenate’ approach instead of reconstruction so as to preserve the hotel’s soaring Atrium and iconic structure. In doing so, they have prevented more than 51,300 metric tonnes of carbon emission. This is equivalent to saving 8.7 million trees from being cut down.
- The hotel has also installed 210 solar panels on the hotel’s rooftop, which generate more than 350kwh of electricity daily, sufficient to power 540 typical households in Singapore in a day.
- The swimming pool comes alive with 1,380 glowing fibre optic lights at dusk. The fibre optic lights consume about 13,140 kilowatt-hour of energy per year, compared to the standard swimming pool lights that consume approximately 18,000 kilowatt-hour of energy per years.
