While most of us wind up over caring for our indoor plants, there are a surprising number of indoor plants that thrive on neglect.
- One such plant is known as the mother-in-law’s tongue, so called for its sharp tongue and the fact that it’s tough as old boots. It copes well with low levels of light, and requires barely any watering.
- While you can grow the Zanzibar Gem outdoors, it also makes a tough house plant. It deals well with low levels of light and water, and is almost indestructible.
- The cast iron plant is named for its ability to grow where most other plants will not. While it may not be the most glamorous of plants, if you’re looking for something that is easy to care for with a healthy dark green foliage the year round, this makes an excellent option.
- Devil’s ivy is a trailing plant that will grow virtually anywhere. The cascading foliage will bring a lush, jungle like feel to your home, and looks absolutely fantastic in hanging baskets.
