Water Stressed Lawn

Your lawn can become stressed if water isn’t penetrating the soil, but there are a few easy tricks that you can use to fix this.
- Compaction is a common problem in lawns caused by constant foot traffic compressing the soil to the point where it won’t accept water, air, or nutrients.
- This can cause your lawn to become very unhealthy, but it’s easily resolved by aerating.
- Hydrophobia is where soils develop a waxy, water-repellent coating, causing water to run off and not get into the soil and root zone.
- This can be fixed by applying a wetting agent that breaks down the waxy coating, allowing water and nutrients into the soil.
- Scotts Lawn Builder + Wetting Agent contains this technology, as well as all of the nutrients your lawn needs to be strong, green and healthy.
- It’s a slow-release fertiliser, meaning it gradually feeds your lawn over a 3 months.
