Trevor turns the trash of the day’s trimmings into a treasure his garden will be nourished from for the warming spring season.

• The RLA 240 battery powered scarifier is one of five new models to join STIHL’s growing AK battery system which is designed for home gardens.
• The best time to scarify your lawn is during spring and autumn. Make sure you do not start too early in the spring as the grass needs to be growing nicely before you start. It is recommended that you scarify when the soil is moderately wet but with a touch-dry surface.
• With a cutting width of 34cm, the RLA 240 allows users to cover large areas however reach right to the edge every corner in your garden and is incredibly easy to manoeuvre. The 50L grass catcher allows users to complete their task efficiently without having to constantly empty the catcher.
• The RLA 240 is made of the same durable polymer housing that several of the mowers in the STIHL range are made of, meaning it is incredibly sturdy and features an adjustable height setting.
• The RLA 240 gives users the option of either scraping the turf using the scarifying unit for better aeration or combing the dead grass and moss out of your lawn, also known as dethatching, using the aerator roller. Simply attach the tool you need in a few simple steps, adjust the working depth using the infinitely adjustable scale and start aerating or combing your lawn.
