This story looks at how renowned Perth artist Sarah-May Baxter extended her creativity into the garden through a range of bright and cheerful ceramics.

• For many of us, our gardens are a creative outlet, allowing us the opportunity to personalize our outdoor living spaces through design and plants.
• Sarah-May’s inspiration to take her artwork outdoors is to brighten up spaces outside and give garden rooms a focal point. She feels that it is lovely to give some splashes of colour.
• Ceramics has always been Sarah’s medium and she is still enjoying using them as they are useful and highly decorative. Her favourites would be wall plaques and pots.
• She is inspired by her travels to Europe, Italy and Saudi Arabia with the bright colours and swirls incorporated into her Australian designs.
• Her designs are unusual, affordable and people get to have a piece of art for themselves.
