Melissa talks to our tree expert Wes Fleming about the best plant varieties that you might not know are Australian-made.

• The Casuarina glauca 'Greenwave' is an ideal urban tree, as it has dense, naturally rounded foliage with a low water requirement.
• The Pink Lady apple variety was actually discovered in Western Australia and is one of the most popular apple varieties in the world. Pop these in your garden or shopping basket and you know you're supporting Australia.
• The Corymbia maculata or 'Little Mac' is basically a smaller variety of the gum tree, making it great for new housing developments. Make sure to include this great native in your landscape design.
