The decisions we make when establishing a garden no matter how big or small can have a significant impact on our total environment. For instance bees are responsible for every third mouthful of food consumed on the planet, lose bees and say goodbye to 2 to 3 billion people. Its a scary thought so thinking through how we encourage them to come to our gardens and enjoy the flowers we grow is really important. Kings Park and Botanical Garden understand this better than most and the startegies we employ when planting native plants is critically important.
