Peaches are ready to pick when they are looking bright and cradle into your hand. When they're looking that good, birds will also be attracted to your fruit so be sure to net them well.
Make sure to water any stone fruit regularly while they are establishing fruit to ensure you get the juiciest fruit at harvest.
If you are one of those people that can only grow weeds turn it into an advantage by growing artichokes.
Babaco fruit is picked at the first sign of yellow colouration and are a delicious unusual fruit from the mountains of South America and is similar to a paw-paw fruit with an anise flavour making it ideal for a fruit salad.
If you're a fan of raspberries, ideal for growing in small spaces and even spots if tied up right, if you're lucky you might get a white variety which is super sweet and delicious.
