Garden preparation facts
- Cut your roses right back during the cooler months, when they are laying dormant. A bush that is normal 90cm high can be cut back to 30cm.
- Use any tool you like to prune the roses, even a chainsaw.
- Fertilise the plants once you've cut them back, but that is all.
- Anthony Tesselaar does not dust or spray his roses.
