Phil visits Redcliffe Garden Centre

Presenter: Phil Dudman
Episode: 24 (13th October 2007)

On the Garden Gurus we love to show you some of best garden centres around town and this week Phil visited a little gem. It’s the Redcliffe Garden Centre which is beautifully presented and brimming with delights for the garden.

The first thing that catches your eye at the centre is the gorgeous range of water features and master-carved statues. They’re beautifully arranged throughout the centre; they lift the planting scheme and create that finishing touch. All features have been personally selected and imported from Bali by the owners and because they are the importer they’re able to pass on the savings to you.

They take the same pride and approach with their plant stock as well, the quality is superb, the prices are always reasonable and everything has been selected for it’s suitability to the local climate. There’s a great range with a fabulous selection of lush tropical plants, natives, fruit trees seedlings, water wise succulents, plants for the contemporary look as well as some old favourites.

Every gardening need is catered for so it’s easy to see why the Redcliffe Garden Centre has quickly become the place of choice for locals.

The centre also hosts a Gallery with original paintings from Balinese artists, beautifully carved statues, vividly coloured Balinese Kites and a range of gift ideas, which make every visit to this place even more enjoyable.

One of the things that make this garden centre work is the friendly atmosphere and service. Gena and Ross are the owner operators who put their heart and soul into the place. They love what they do and they love nothing more than sharing their passion and knowledge, which can be infectious.

If you’re looking for ideas or help in creating your own special garden they offer a Comprehensive Landscaping service which can include everything from concepts and design right through to construction, planting and maintenance. It’s all part of their range.

The centre is constantly evolving they are currently putting the finishing touches on their new renovations, a new Coffee Spot and it’ll be fabulous. To celebrate they’re having a huge renovation sale with 10% off everything. It starts tomorrow and it ends next Sunday. There has never been a better time to get out and discover this wonderful place for yourself.

You’ll find the Redcliffe Garden Centre at 49 Snook Street Clontarf, just 2 minutes from the Hornibrook Bridge.
