Everyone loves salads and there's nothing better than a mix that includes home grown greens.

Neville's Tips and Facts

• With all produce from the garden or the market it needs a wash and this is where you can save a few buckets of water by using a washing bowl.
• Running tap water delivers up to nine litres per minute. If that runs to waste for just 2 minutes a day it adds up to a staggering 7000 litres per year.
• Another waterwise option for your salad is to use a moist tea towel to clean your mushrooms rather than soaking in water. These delicious fungi are so absorbent that you can finish up with a soggy mess if they get too wet.
