Episode 4: WA's Great Gardens
Date: 24 October 2010
Presenter: Trevor Cochrane
Mulching is a crucial part of your gardening chores, Trevor shows us how to get the best results.
Trevor's Tips and Facts
- Laying a 50 to 100mm layer of mulch through your garden is the difference between a surviving garden and a thriving garden.
- It's very important to use really good mulch. We always use Biowise mulch. It's made in WA and using materials that were once landfill can enrich sand turning it into soil.
- And for a different effect, the Soils Aint Soils pine bark mulch looks great and achieves the same impact with a slightly different look.
- Always remember to apply a thick layer of mulch otherwise the impact won't be as dramatic to help you save water and grow healthy plants.
