Here are Angie’s tips for success!

• Australian native plants, like grevilleas, banksias, kangaroo paws and callistemons are pretty hardy but will all really appreciate, and grow much better, if they’re fed! Feed them with an organic fertiliser that’s safe for Australian native plants.
• For a beautifully fragrant sweet pea display in spring, autumn is the time to get sowing. There are tall varieties for growing up a trellis or compact varieties for pots and hanging baskets. Sow sweet pea seeds directly where the plants are to grow.
• And did you have bindii in your lawn last summer? Autumn is the time to act! As soon as you see the small bindii plants, treat the lawn with Yates Weed’n’Feed. This will kill the bindii plants and prevent them from setting their prickly seeds.
