Spring brings fresh growth and a few important jobs to keep the garden looking its best. From tackling weeds to caring for new plants and protecting the soil, a little work now can set the garden up for a great season.

  • Remove weeds before they flower and set seed, taking care to remove as much of the root as possible. This leaves more moisture, nutrients and space for the plants you want to keep.
  • Check fresh growth regularly for pests, fungal problems and damage, particularly underneath leaves and around new shoots where unwanted visitors can hide.
  • Spring is a great time to fill gaps in the garden. Choose plants suited to the light and conditions of the position, and allow enough room for their mature size.
  • After planting, water thoroughly and apply a seaweed treatment to support root growth and help reduce transplant shock.
  • The Seasol Click & Grow Starter Kit makes applying Complete Garden Health Treatment easy. Simply connect the reusable hose trigger, add the pouch and set the mixing dial.
  • Complete Garden Health Treatment supports strong root growth, fruiting and flowering, while helping plants cope with heat, drought and pests.
  • Once the garden is planted and fed, top up thin areas with fresh mulch to help retain moisture and suppress weeds, keeping it clear of plant stems.
  • Tackle the garden one area at a time and you’ll be surprised how much you can achieve as spring growth gets underway.
