Hamilton Gardens is made up of a series of amazing, themed, gardens, and is located on New Zealand’s North Island. Trevor checks out this wonderful space, and learns about its rather humble beginnings.

• Hamilton Gardens has been influenced not only by the classic gardens of specific countries, but also by gardens in specific periods, such as the Italian Renaissance garden
• Hamilton Gardens are the brainchild of Peter Sergel, a landscape architect
• Peter revived this now amazing landscape out of something pretty amazing-a rubbish dump
• They are currently about 60% of the way through creating their aim of 32 concept gardens, from ancient Egyptian to modern day designs.
•  Trevor’s favorite is the Japanese inspired garden, but there is so much more to discover.
