When spraying chemicals such as weed killers and liquid fertiliser over your garden, it is essential to use a sprayer that is up to the task.

  • Pests such as the sap sucking scale can be a real issue for your garden. To deal with them cut off the damaged parts of your plant and squash the scale. For even better results, you could knock up a horticultural oil and spray it over your plants.
  • You’ll want to use a quality sprayer that will last a long time – they are often subjected to chemicals, and need to be made from resistant components for maximum strength and durability.
  • The key components in a sprayer are the seal and o-rings. Nylex sprayers use Viton® seals to prevent corrosion – this is a specific brand of synthetic rubber that provides the highest level of chemical compatibility and spraying performance.
  • The 1.5-litre unit is great for smaller, handheld jobs, such as spraying the underside of your plants where pests may be hiding. You can adjust the nozzle from fine mist to jet spray, and there is a lockable trigger for continuous spraying.
  • For bigger jobs, the 5 or 8-litre shoulder sprayers pump out more liquid. These sprayers feature pump action, a twist locking handle, and a stainless-steel lance as well as fan and jet nozzles. The safety pressure release valve is also of note.
  • The 16-litre backpack sprayer is perfect for even bigger jobs, with telescopic stainless-steel lance with a convenient lance holder, an adjustable brass nozzle, and a comfortable grip lever with a padded carry strap.
  • All Nylex sprayers come with a 3-year guarantee.
