Episode: 13
Presenter: Neville Passmore
Air Date: June 1st

Neville shows us all the drinkable herbs in his garden, which would brew a nice hot cup of tea.

  • If you're looking to spice up your morning tea. There is an all-natural herbal tea you can try that comes straight from your garden.
  • Lemon myrtle and cinnamon myrtle are both rainforest trees of eastern Australia which can be grown in all around Australia.
  • For a zestier taste, adding kaffir lime can bring a powerful perfume lemon-like flavour.
  • Strain these herbs through a strainer with hot water, allowing the flavours too steep for at least 5 minutes.
  • Pour a brew straight from the pot and drink immediately. You can keep the pot going for 1-2 days as you gradually add more water with fresh leaves.
  • There are also 2 medicinal teas that you can make from your garden. One includes turmeric, grate the roots for optimal consumption.
  • Another medicinal tea includes moringa or the miricale tree from India, which grows well in the Mediterranean. You can add the leaves into the already brewed pot or freeze them for later use.
  • You can also use the leaves of lemon verbena, both the stem and leaves of Lemon grass, and you can add mint for that fresh zest flavour.
